Standing Strong with Amy: Conquering Cancer Together
Dear Friends, Family, and Compassionate Strangers,
We created this fundraiser for a dear friend of ours, Amy Williams, who was recently diagnosed with
an incurable form of stage 4 cancer.
Amy’s Story
Amy is a devoted wife, a loving mother of two (Macy, 19, and Logan, 21), and a faithful friend to
many. At 55 years old, Amy’s life has been defined by her passion for the Lord, her deep love for
family, and her pursuit of natural, holistic health. Today, she faces the most significant challenge of
her life—a recurrence of Stage 4 Hormone Receptor-Positive Breast Cancer (ER+), which has
now metastasized to her spine, ribs, lung, and liver.
Despite the serious prognosis, Amy’s doctors believe she could gain up to seven more years with
the right treatments. This invaluable time would allow her to realize her dream of seeing her children
married, meeting her future grandchildren, and growing old with her beloved husband, Aaron.
In 2020, Amy found a lump during the height of COVID-19. She had to navigate mammograms,
ultrasounds, and a biopsy alone—an experience filled with fear and uncertainty. She successfully
conquered her breast cancer, or so she believed.
That was until she began to experience severe back pain in early 2024. At first, Amy assumed it was
sciatica or menopause-related. But by the end of the year, the pain was unbearable. An MRI just
days before Christmas revealed metastatic lesions and fractures in her lower spine and sacrum.
Additional scans showed more lesions in her upper spine, ribs, and even a spot on her lung and
liver—cancer had spread farther than anyone had realized.
After spending over a week in the hospital, thankfully Amy is now home again with her family. But
she struggles with mobility and debilitating pain. She is no longer able to work or do much to support
her family, and relies on Aaron for assistance with daily tasks, including getting to the bathroom,
cooking, and household chores.
Feelings of guilt weigh heavily on Amy’s heart as she witnesses the burdens placed on Aaron. Yet
her faith remains unwavering—she trusts the Lord fully and cherishes every moment with her family.
With Amy unable to work and Aaron acting as both her primary caregiver and a full-time provider,
the family faces mounting medical bills, daily living expenses, and the costs of specialized care.
Why Your Help Matters
Amy has already started radiation treatments and is scheduled to meet with her oncologist to plan
the next phase, which may include additional chemotherapy. Beginning in February, she’ll have new
insurance coverage, but it will not cover all her treatments. The estimated expenses—including
hospital stays, therapies, medications, organic/wellness foods, and potential travel for specialized
care—could climb to $1.1 million over the coming years.
Your support will directly impact Amy and her family by:
Covering Medical Bills: Relieving the enormous burden of ongoing treatments, scans,
medication, and potential surgeries.
Sustaining Daily Living Costs: Ensuring there’s enough for essentials like groceries, utilities,
and quality nutrition to strengthen Amy’s immune system.
Supporting Aaron’s Role: Helping hire additional help at home when Aaron must work to keep
his business afloat, easing the strain on both Amy and Aaron.
Every donation—no matter how large or small—brings much-needed relief and allows this family to
focus on what truly matters: Amy’s health and precious time together with her family.
Despite the uncertainties, Amy remains steadfast in her faith. She believes firmly in the power of
prayer, community, and the love that binds us all. By standing with Amy, you become part of a
greater hope—one that transcends medical charts and difficult prognoses.
“I trust the Lord 100%. I want to see my kids get married, hold my grandchildren, and grow old with
Aaron. Your support gives me the strength to keep fighting—knowing I’m not leaving my husband
and family with impossible burdens.” — Amy
